TQI Solutions is seeking a Maritime Operations & Training Project Manager to support the Global Maritime Response Plan (GMRP) at U.S. Fleet Forces (USFF) in Norfolk, VA. In this role, you will lead training initiatives, analyze operational requirements, and develop high-quality assessments that support naval readiness and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze training requirements and develop strategic plans, producing high-quality reports, white papers, executive correspondence, and briefings.
- Design and implement a Maritime Operations Center (MOC) training continuum, including functional task training, staff development, and major readiness exercises over a 24-month cycle.
- Monitor and track staff training objectives to ensure alignment with TJFMCC/CJTF mission-essential tasks, guidance, and intent.
- Evaluate naval and maritime processes, including warfighting function integration, to identify strengths and areas for improvement during exercise preparation and execution.
- Collaborate with Task Force Commanders (TJFMCC, CTFs) to assess logistics requirements and consolidate staff supportability plans.
- Integrate Operational Design elements into CTF operations to support the development of planned operations and crisis action plans.
- Support ongoing TFJMCC and CTF campaigns, operations, and crisis response efforts in alignment with command objectives.
- Apply expertise in knowledge management to improve organizational efficiency and decision-making.
- Serve as the lead Knowledge Management Process Improvement Facilitator to enhance overall organizational performance and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
- 10+ years of combined experience in U.S. Navy training, maritime operations, and ship maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Navy planning and operational assessment efforts.
- Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
- Ability to draft, edit, proofread, and provide recommendations for Naval Correspondence (letters, messages, instructions, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Candidates must be eligible for a background investigation.
