TQI Solutions is actively seeking a Service Desk Now Developer to join our IT team supporting our client in Norfolk VA. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing our Service Desk Now ticketing system for IT trouble calls. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, and the ability to deliver effective solutions in a shipyard environment.
Responsibilities:
· Design, configure, and develop Service Desk Now applications to enhance the IT ticketing system and ensure efficient handling of trouble calls.
· Customize workflows, scripts, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and notifications within the Service Desk Now platform to meet operational requirements.
· Provide second-tier support for Service Desk Now, troubleshoot issues, and manage incidents to ensure timely resolution.
· Implement and manage integrations between Service Desk Now and other IT systems.
· Perform platform upgrades, maintenance, and administration to ensure optimal performance and availability.
· Work closely with IT staff and stakeholders to understand technical needs, gather requirements, and develop tailored solutions.
· Conduct testing of new solutions, participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), and support deployment.
· Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, customizations, and system integrations.
· Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance the IT trouble call process.
This is a full time, salaried, exempt position located onsite in Norfolk, VA.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· 4-7 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development.
· Experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow or Service Desk Now systems in an IT environment.
· Strong understanding of IT trouble call processes and workflow automation.
· Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development languages.
· Experience with data integration.
· Knowledge of ITIL processes and ServiceNow ITSM applications.
· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
· ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or similar certification is preferred.
· Experience with IT Operations Management (ITOM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) preferred.
· ITIL V3/V4 certification preferred.
· Knowledge of data privacy and security standards in an IT environment.
· US Citizenship required.
· T5 level security clearance required.
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a government granted security clearance.
