We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to support the development of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Tableau dashboard through final development tasks, validations, testing, and preparation for launch and change management with users. The ideal candidate will have experience with Tableau for development activities and Tableau Prep to complete validation tasks and ETL from ADE or other external source systems/data extracts. Additionally, the candidate should possess functional skills to convey status to the internal DTO team and client, and to assist in developing technical/change management documentation for deployment and roll-out.
This position is in Arlington, VA with the ability for a hybrid work schedule. REMOTE WORK IS NOT AUTHORIZED.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize Tableau and Tableau Prep to complete development tasks and validate dashboard outputs.
- Build new ETL outputs based on new data sources such as ADE, external data sources, or data extracts.
- Ensure data integrity by validating underlying data and updating data source paths as necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to lead technical reviews and provide status reporting through formal documentation and client presentations.
- Apply data engineering and data architecture principles to join multiple data sources into accurate and efficient data models for dashboard rendering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- US Citizenship Required: Due to the nature of work on a Federal Contract, applicants must be United States citizens.
- Preferred experience in Authoritative Data Environment (ADE) or ADVANA Jupiter, and with Navy systems.
- 2+ years’ experience in Tableau development and Tableau Prep.
- Experience with data engineering, ETL methodology, and creating data models.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in status reporting and technical documentation preparation.
- Familiarity with Navy systems is preferred.
- Government-granted security clearance required.
